'PERCEPTION OF BODRUM BEING EXPENSIVE IS CONSTANT'
Highlighting the variation in entrance fees at beach businesses in Bodrum, Alişir Şahin, Vice President of the Bodrum Hoteliers Association, stated, "Bodrum is a gem of both Turkey and the world. We are living in a beautiful place, and naturally, everyone wants to come to Bodrum. Consequently, beach prices are constantly being discussed. There is a constant perception that 'Bodrum is expensive.' Bodrum has municipal beaches that provide free services. In addition, there are high-end beach businesses. These businesses vary in terms of service, location, and positioning. Entrance fees to private beach businesses start at 500 TL and can go up to 3,000 TL. Some of our guests say, 'I just want to be there, I have no problem with money,' and prefer these beach businesses. In my opinion, the perception of Bodrum being excessively expensive is related to the supply-demand balance."

Some beach businesses charge a direct entrance fee, for example, 3,000 TL, and say, 'This is the cost of being here.'
Others impose a mandatory spending requirement, for instance, 2,000 TL, as the entrance fee. In places where only entrance fees are charged, guests can benefit from services such as sun loungers, umbrellas, changing rooms, and showers. Depending on the guest's desire, they can enjoy a good shrimp or a hamburger inside the establishment.
The price of hamburgers varies based on their weight. It could be 180 grams or 300 grams. Generally, the price of a hamburger starts from 450 TL and can go up to 1000 TL.
In Bodrum, lahmacun starts from 100 TL. Lahmacun prices range from 500, 750, to 1000 TL. A family could spend up to 10,000 TL per day in Bodrum, or they might not spend any money at all.
Şahin noted the variability in cabana prices at beach establishments, saying, "A cabana can accommodate 2 people or 10 people. Cabanas come with unlimited water, soft drinks, fruits, and nuts. Some cabanas offer nothing, while others set limits, allowing you to enjoy food and drink services within a specified limit, for example, paying 10,000 TL for services within that limit. Bodrum showcases its beauty through this diversity and richness."
Highlighting the suitability of hotels for reservations during the holiday, Şahin said, "In Turkey, our citizens love to vacation in Bodrum during the holidays. Our hotels and beaches are ready for the holiday. The weather is warmer than the seasonal norms. Currently, the per capita accommodation fee in Bodrum starts from 1,000 TL, and this amount can go up to 1,000 euros. We still have rooms awaiting reservations in our hotels. We welcome those who haven't made plans to Bodrum."
