İnceğiz Canyon, located on the borders of Denizli-Muğla-Aydın, eroded by the clean waters of Akçay after millions of years of geological movements and reaching a height of 380 meters on both sides, has become one of the places frequented by boat tours that bring adventure and nature lovers together, as well as its natural coolness. Boat tours in the canyon eroded by Akçay, which feeds the Kemer Dam in Bozdoğan district, start with the spring months and last until the middle of summer when the waters recede, giving vitality to the regional economy. As of today, 9 boats serve its visitors in the canyon, which was brought to domestic tourism with boat tours following the works initiated by Aydın Metropolitan Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu in 2017. İnceğiz Canyon, which increases its attraction day by day as the hidden paradise of the Aegean, manages to make everyone happy, from 7 to 77, who prefer domestic tourism instead of sea tourism. The couple Inus and Helene Marais, who came to Turkey to visit from Cape Town, South Africa, stated that they had visited many places in Turkey and that they found the İnceğiz (Arapapıştı) canyon very interesting and beautiful, that everyone should definitely see Turkey and that they loved Turkey very much.

Ayşenur-Aydın Kement couple, who joined the boat tour from Aydın, stated that they participated in the boat tour organized in İnceğiz Canyon instead of the seashore due to the very hot weather, and said, “We are coming here for the second time. When the water recedes and there is not enough water, we leave our canyon tours. Our boat tours continue as long as there is water in our canyon. Demand is increasing day by day here. We have 9 boats. Four or five of them operate when the waters run low. There are people coming from all over the world. Although it is a lake, it makes a great contribution as tourism.”
