Metehan Özbenim, the coordinator of the Istanbul leg of the "Turkish Gent's Network - Turkish Businessmen Network", which was established in Shanghai, China, and reached a wide area of activity in a short time, talked about the curious things about the platform. Özbenim stated that the secret of commercial success in China is through solidarity and said, "China's doors are wide open to Turkish business people."

Having the third largest surface area after Russia and Canada, China is a unique country with its structure consisting of 22 provinces, 5 autonomous regions and 4 municipalities. Moreover, all of these structures are considered as states. Each of the provinces in China is on the scale of an average European country in terms of population, area and economic value. For this reason, each of them has the potential to be considered as a country in terms of economy and trade. This complicates trade relations with China.

Turkish Gent's Network/Turkish Businessmen Network, an important event that started with approximately 10 people in Shanghai in 2020 and attended by 200 people, offers Turkish business people an opportunity to overcome this complexity. Istanbul coordinator of the initiative, Metehan Özbenim, explained the secret of the success of the initiative and its new goals: “Turks who came to China, which has the largest economy in the world, needed a platform to get to know each other, expand their business and talk about new business opportunities. Turkish Gent's Network has grown in a short time as it responds to this expectation and need.”
The new route is Indonesia's capital, Jakarta
Stating that the event has started to be organized in Beijing and the south of China, Metehan Özbenim also explained the new route and roadmap of the platform: “The Chinese and Istanbul legs of Turkish Gent's Network have been completed. We achieved significant gains in the activities we held here. The foundations for many new agreements and cooperation were laid. Both our business people and our country's economy won. This encouraged us. Our new route for our networking platform is Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. Apart from Jakarta, we are also in talks with Turkish representatives in the USA and Europe, as well as with Turkish businessmen. We aim to expand this platform to all countries with Turkish business people."
