"Travel-lover" young people began to come to Antalya

Within the scope of the project, which benefited 325 thousand young people in Turkey last year, those who wanted to visit Antalya this year started to come to the city in the morning.

The young people, who were directed to the dormitories where they will stay in the city, were greeted by the staff in Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan and Ahmet Hamdi Akseki dormitories.

After the registration process, the young people were placed in rooms prepared in the comfort of a hotel where all their needs would be met.

Antalya Youth and Sports Provincial Director Yavuz Gürhan told Anadolu Agency (AA) that they are happy to host young people.

Stating that the mobility has started in the dormitories, Gürhan said:

"The second of our travel lover project has been put at the disposal of our youth again. We will receive our guests between 10 July and 27 August with the instruction of our Ministry. We are happy to host our youth in our dormitories during these months when schools are on holiday. Our young people want to see and get to know the cities, natural and cultural beauties of our countries on site. With the project of our Ministry, we welcome them wherever they want with peace of mind and inform them about the beauties of our cities. Our young people get to know our country, travel and make new friendships in the comfort of home and in a family-friendly environment."

Last year, 11 thousand 800 young people were hosted

Emphasizing that all young people between the ages of 18 and 30 can participate in the Traveler project, Gürhan said that young people have the right to stay in dormitories for 5 days free of charge.

Stating that Antalya received great attention last year, Gürhan said, "We heard from our young people who participated in the second year of our project that they were very happy and that they were aiming to visit new places this year. We are happy with the feedback we receive as well as hosting them. Last year, our city was one of the most demanded cities. We received around 11,800 applications. We are ready to host all our young people. Our dormitories have this equipment and comfort. Therefore, we welcome all young people who want to benefit."

Gürhan noted that young people who want to benefit from the project can make a reservation at the website "www.seyahatsever.gsb.gov.tr" by applying at least one day before and specifying the days of their stay.

Hümanur Delibaş, 23, who came from Istanbul, said that she had been actively participating in the project for two years.

Stating that it is very enjoyable to visit and discover new cities, Delibaş said:

"We make new friends, we get the chance to see the natural and cultural beauties of our country that we have not seen. Last year, we went to the Aegean with this project. We went to all the coastal beaches. It was an advantage for us to extend the period this year. This year we turned the route to Antalya. We were very well received here. We want to visit Kaş, Kemer and Manavgat. We made a good planning for our trips with the directions given here, and we thank everyone who contributed."

Kübra Dağ, who benefited from the project, stated that she was very happy to travel and see new places and said, "I think it is very nice to develop ourselves in this way. Such projects should definitely be increased. With the project, I want to see Cappadocia and İzmir Efes in the coming years."
