In these days when the impact of cold weather is felt, as the sun reappeared over the weekend, one of the first destinations for citizens in Bursa was the European Stork Village Eskikaraağaç. Over the weekend, there was a surge of visitors to the Stork Village, famous worldwide for the story of Fisherman Adem Uncle and Yaren the Stork.

Thanks to the tourism initiatives by the municipality of Karacabey, the Stork Village, which hosts visitors throughout the year, experienced a high level of interest. The local residents are pleased with the intense attention in the village. Boat tours in the village brought joy to boatmen, and the local products offered by the EKADER Association, run by village women, attracted significant interest.

Meanwhile, the residents of the stork village, who sell local products in the wooden huts along the coastline, also welcome the guests with various amenities. The residents of the Stork Village expressed their gratitude to Karacabey Mayor Ali Özkan for his contributions to promoting the village as a tourism destination.

In his statement, Mayor Ali Özkan said, 'Our Stork Village, despite its potential, couldn't secure a share from the tourism pie for many years. Since taking office, we have undertaken significant efforts in various areas, including tourism. If today the Stork Village is experiencing a surge of visitors in the middle of winter, a time when even the storks are absent, it is an important success for Karacabey Municipality, and we are pleased about it.
