With 2,600 employees and a capacity of 4,331 beds in its tourism investments, Akra Hotels boasts over 50 years of experience in the sector. Following its tourism investments in Kemer and Sorgun, the group ventured into urban hotel management for the first time with Akra and Akra V in 2014. In 2015, it introduced Akra Fethiye, followed by Akra Fethiye The Residence in 2019, expanding its portfolio to a total of 6 establishments. In addition to tourism, the group also operates a 12,000-square-meter industrial laundry and cleaning facility in the Antalya Organized Industrial Zone. With a daily textile cleaning capacity of 80 tons and over 300 employees, this facility serves as a significant asset.

The group primarily hosts guests from the UK, the Middle East, as well as countries belonging to the Commonwealth of Independent States such as Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan, along with Western European countries. They are also notable for their sustainable tourism efforts, with all their hotels certified with ISO 50001 Energy Management System and the international 'Travelife Sustainability Certificate'.

Regarding sustainability initiatives, Akra Sorgun, which recently underwent a €15 million renovation, has implemented several projects aimed at reducing its carbon footprint. Cagdas Akkaya, the General Manager of Akra Sorgun, highlighted innovations focused on sustainability, such as smart room systems contributing significantly to energy conservation, motion and presence sensors in rooms, heating systems, hydro-pump pumps, and frequency inverters in main air conditioning units.

Akkaya highlighted the 'Gray Water Recycling Project,' which was launched in 2024 and allows for the purification and utilization of rain and wastewater for garden irrigation after laboratory analysis. He stated, "Domestic wastewater, excluding septic tank waste, such as from sinks, showers, and baths, is also included in the project. The aim of the project is to achieve approximately 30% water savings, equivalent to 100 tons of water per day. 'Zoysia Japonica' grass, which significantly conserves water in gardens, is used extensively. With xeriscaping, garden fertilizer usage is reduced by 98.4%. In the kitchen, vegetable scraps are transformed into spices as part of zero waste practices, while root vegetable scraps are used in sauce making. Approximately 95% of kitchen products are locally sourced from the market."

In line with its mission to protect nature and all living organisms, which constitutes an important part of its sustainability vision, Akra Hotels conducts efforts to protect Caretta Caretta turtles, an endangered species worldwide. Guests staying at Akra's facilities in Fethiye and Sorgun are provided with various informative sessions. Guests are kindly requested to refrain from actions that may disturb the turtles during their nesting season, which runs from May 1st to October 1st, such as carrying lounge chairs to nesting areas, digging in the sand, or lighting fires or using lights on the beach at night. Additionally, efforts are made at Akra Sorgun to protect Sea Daffodils.
