Luxury experience intertwined with nature
In his speech at the opening, Cem Karacan, the General Manager of Anda Barut Collection, stated, "As Barut Hotels, we take pride in being one of the brands that changed the tourism understanding in the Aegean region. Having changed the tourism understanding in the Mediterranean by opening its first hotel 52 years ago, Barut Hotels has now brought its half-century of experience to the Aegean.
Our visitor profile varies by country, with the UK being the main market, followed by Russia, Germany, Poland as our domestic market, and Switzerland as the emerging market. Tourists coming from Romania by land will also be significant players in the market without using air travel."
Contribution to regional development and employment
Cem Karacan, General Manager of Anda Barut Collection, stated, "Currently, our staff count is 850, and this number will exceed 1,000 in the summer season. We provide a luxury staff residence with 300 rooms for our employees, and by predominantly employing local residents, we contribute positively to the regional economy and social structure, encouraging reverse migration.
We encourage young people to stay in the region and contribute to the economy by providing job opportunities in the tourism sector instead of moving to big cities. As a result of this approach, we observe that the young population, which used to leave the region, has become more inclined to stay. Additionally, through collaborations with universities and tourism schools, we support regional development economically and socially."
Karacan continued, "With the investment made by Anda Barut Collection in Didim, there has been an average increase in value of 20% -25% in the region in 2024.
This increase in value is also applicable to all hotels in the region. Planned facilities, energized and empowered by Anda Barut Collection, have initiated significant investments to enhance themselves and provide better services in the coming years. This competition contributes to the development and growth of Didim, positioning it as a serious competitor to Bodrum in the upper segment group by 2026. Didim is now the new Bodrum," he said.
Tracing the footsteps of ancient times
Anda Barut Collection, offering easy access to Izmir and Bodrum airports, also stands out for its proximity to tourist and historical sites in the surrounding area. With views of Lake Bafa, the ancient traces of the Temple of Apollo, the historical riches of the ancient city of Miletus, and the enchanting atmosphere of the ancient city of Ephesus, Anda Barut Collection provides its guests with an opportunity to discover both natural beauty and historical heritage.
Emphasis on educational activities
Prior to the opening of Anda Barut Collection, promotional activities covering 88 workshops and fairs were held in 45 countries, with the main theme being the Didim region, emphasized Karacan: "We host over 2,500 top segment agents from 13 countries. Bringing foreign agents to this region is essential for recognition and visibility in terms of interaction and sustainable tourism, which are indispensable for Turkish tourism."
Anda Barut Collection will be divided into three main sections to ensure guests' comfort and experience. There is a specially designed area for adults, as well as a section for families with children. The hotel features a water park and a fairground area, offering specially designed educational activities and safe play areas for children. These spaces provide an environment where children can expend their energy while learning and having fun.
