The 2nd Efeler Gastronomy Festival begins
The festival will be held on April 28-29-30 at Pınarbaşı Picnic Area.
The program of the festival, in which white aprons will be worn to present local delicacies, has been announced. Cooking competitions, culinary workshops, exhibitions, panels and conversations will take place in the flavor feast that will last for three days. At the festival; Famous names such as Sahrap Soysal, Hazer Amani, Ali Ronay, Nebil Özgentürk, Halil Ergün and Hale Soygazi will also take part.
The festival, to which President Atay attaches great importance to the promotion of the flavors unique to Aydın and Aegean cuisine, will begin with a ceremony to be held on Friday, April 28 at 14.00.
After the opening, the exhibition named 'Bir Tabak Ot Yemeği' will be opened to visitors. At 14.15, a talk titled 'Bir Tabak Ot Yemeğinin Hikayesi' will be held, moderated by Nedim Atilla, the Founding Leader of Slow Food Turkey. The talks will continue on the same day at 15.00 with the subject of 'Gastronomic Tourism of the Aegean', moderated by the President of the Aegean Gastronomy Tourism Association, Serdar Çelenk.
This time at 16.00, the stage will be held by the food expert and writer Sahrap Soysal. Soysal will present a pleasant opening show to the festival participants with her Kitchen Workshop activities.
On the second day, which will continue with exhibitions, panels and tastings, master chef Hazer Amani, journalist-writer Nebil Özgentürk and veteran theater artist Halil Ergün will meet with the citizens of Efeler.
The last day guest of the festival will be actress Hale Soygazi. The festival, which will continue with presentations, interviews, competitions and performances, will continue throughout the day.
Aydın's local flavors will compete
The food competitions to be held within the framework of the festival will also be the scene of a fierce taste battle. Skilled hands, who will roll up their sleeves to present the most delicious plate, will show their skills with 'Aydın Region Meat Dishes' on the first day of the festival, 'Aydın Region Olive Oils' on the second day, and 'Aydın Region Desserts' on the last day.
Noting that such a great gastronomy festival was held in Efeler for the second time, Efeler Mayor Mehmet Fatih Atay said that preparations for the festival continue at full speed. Mayor Atay said, “Our municipality employees have made great efforts for the preparations, I thank them all. It will be a festival where local dishes of our district, province and Aegean will be tasted and promoted. We will ensure that our citizens have a fun time with various activities. We welcome all our citizens.”
