Denizli, which hosts thousands of tourists each year with its natural beauty, also stands out with its hidden gems. Recognized as a natural monument by the General Directorate of National Parks, the waterfall is a significant travel route in Denizli and a top choice for nature enthusiasts. Increasing its number of visitors annually as a hidden gem, Güney Waterfall is located 50 kilometers from Denizli and about 4 kilometers from the Güney district. The Menderes River flows to the south of the waterfall. Due to the lime content in its water, Güney Waterfall forms limestone steps and various formations in its bed, making it one of the must-see places for its natural beauty. From sunrise to evening, the waterfall is frequented by photography enthusiasts, who are amazed by the sight of water droplets cascading over emerald green velvet-like moss. Domestic and international tourists visiting Güney can also take a boat tour after seeing Turkey's 23rd natural wonder, Güney Waterfall. Boarding a boat with a capacity of 40 people, tourists can enjoy the unique natural beauty of the forests, migratory birds, and other natural wonders around Cindere Dam Lake. With the season's arrival, visitors from home and abroad have started to arrive, said operator Muzaffer Çelik. "For 12 years, we have been serving our guests at Güney Waterfall. Together with our team, we strive to introduce the natural beauty here to our visitors. Our guests can see the waterfall and enjoy a barbecue with their families. The water is nice this year. These months bring school and group tours. When the water rises, we can offer boat tours. Our boat is owned by the municipality. We want everyone to come and see this natural wonder. It is located 55 kilometers from Denizli and can be reached via the Tripolis Ancient City. You can follow our signs from Güney if coming from Uşak. The waterfall’s water comes from a mountain spring. It’s not transported; it's natural water. Our water flows continuously. The waterfall is approximately 40 meters high. There is a cave in the middle that visitors can enter and swim in. The waterfall’s water flows into Cindere Dam," he said. Suat Ünlü, who came from Eskişehir to see the famous Güney Waterfall, said, "We came because we heard about the waterfall's fame. We liked it very much and recommend it to everyone. We will visit here on every trip. We definitely recommend everyone to stop by." His wife, İrem Ünlü, added, "The waterfall is both visually and tastefully impressive with its natural beauty and trout. We recommend it to everyone." Uğur Güney, who came from Aydın with his wife to see Güney Waterfall, said, "It was on our route. We had heard a lot about it, and today was our chance to visit. The flavors and tastes are wonderful. We want everyone to come and see it. The place is filled with the sound of water, offering visual feasts. It’s one of the rare places where you can spend a great time with your family and children."
