Bus tickets sold out, additional expeditions planned

During the holiday, an average of 800 thousand passengers will be transported per day. We predict that approximately 8 million people will be transported in 10 days." Pointing out that the activity that started with the Eid al-Adha will continue until the end of summer, Yıldırım emphasized that 350 bus companies provide service with 8,500 buses in Turkey. Yıldırım stated that compared to last year, there was no increase in the preferences of passengers to use buses in their travels. The use of buses has increased for arrivals from abroad Emphasizing that there is a high density of international flights in buses, Yıldırım said, "Airplane prices abroad have increased a lot. Passengers with a lot of luggage especially prefer the bus. There are 150 flights a day to Europe and the Balkans. There are daily flights to Germany. Expeditions to France also started. Pointing out that the Caucasus region is also active, Yıldırım noted that especially those who trade in luggage from this region use buses. Stating that their prices change depending on fuel prices, Yıldırım said, "Unlicenced transportation takes an important share from the sector. It is necessary to increase inspections and sanctions in this area."
