6 centuries old Deveciler Inn is being turned into a boutique hotel

In Tokat, work has been started to transform the 6-century-old Deveciler Inn into a boutique hotel and bring it into tourism. Work has started to transform the 600-year-old Deveciler Inn into a boutique hotel and bring it into tourism. Infrastructure work was started to place heating, bathroom and toilet systems in the rooms of the inn, which served as a conservatory for a while. In the 16th century, the inn where passengers stayed and animals carrying cargo rested will serve domestic and foreign tourists. There are 55 rooms in the two-storey inn, and there are two large vaulted camel racks on the east side of the inn. "It was a suite hotel back then" Construction Chief Serdar Seper noted that the inn, which was used as a hotel centuries ago, will return to its original function. Stating that the inn, where the caravans passing through Tokat, one of the trade centers of the period, stayed, will be made suitable for accommodation in today's conditions, Seper said, "This is one of the first inns of the period with private rooms. It was a suite hotel back then. Today, it will serve as a boutique hotel.” Stating that the section where the merchants tie their camels and horses will be used as a restaurant, Seper said, “The section that was once used as a parking lot will serve as a restaurant. The inn, which is located in the historical place where 900 historical artifacts are located in 900 steps in the Sulu street bazaar, will be brought to tourism.”
