The streets of Amasra are filled with Russians

A cruise ship named 'Astoria Grande,' departing from the city of Sochi in Russia, arrived at the port of Amasra in Bartın with 898 passengers and 438 crew members. The 193-meter-long, 11-deck Astoria Grande vessel made its final voyage of April to the tourist city of Amasra, known for its natural beauty. Tourists, filling the historic streets of Amasra, enjoyed the sun and the sea.

Arriving in the early morning hours at around 08:00, Russian tourists, accompanied by guides, toured historical and cultural sites such as the Amasra Museum, Çekiciler Çarşısı, Büyük Liman, Amasra Castle, and Kemere Köprüsü. Returning to the ship around 17:00 in the evening, the Russian tourists expressed their admiration for Amasra and Turkey, stating their intention to visit again.

Bartın Mayor Recai Çakır reminded that the Astoria Grande ship, carrying Russian tourists, completed its last voyage of the month, noting that the ship will have weekly trips to Amasra next month. Çakır stated, 'The Astoria Grande ship returned to our district after the holiday. The last voyage of April brought 898 passengers and 438 crew members. Another journey, which enlivens Amasra tourism and delights the passengers of Astoria Grande, was carried out. If there are no hitches, the meeting between the people of Amasra and the ship will continue weekly in May.'

The massive ship departed from Amasra Port around 18:00 in the evening, accompanied by coast guard boats and tugboats.
