Corendon Tourism Group Expands Operations in Alanya for the 2024 Season

Corendon Tourism Group shared its planned operations for Alanya, one of the important destinations for both tour operators and airlines since its establishment, through a meeting held in Alanya. Hosted by Yıldıray Karaer, Co-Founder of Corendon Tourism Group, the meeting was attended by group executives, where both airline and tour operator operations for the 2024 season in Alanya were discussed.

"We continue to grow rapidly and steadily" Speaking about the group's growth journey, Co-Founder of the Tourism Group Yıldıray Karaer said, "Since our establishment, we have been continuing to grow rapidly and steadily. Similarly, we attach importance to contributing to and developing the tourism in Alanya. The success achieved in the development of tourism in Alanya is due to the dedicated efforts and collaborations of the private sector, government institutions, and non-governmental organizations.

We Landed the First Boeing 737-800 Passenger Plane at Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport” Yıldıray Karaer, expressing that Alanya has been a significant destination for Corendon Tourism Group since its establishment in 1997, continued: “In our Alanya story, there are firsts that reflect the pioneering spirit of our group. On April 4, 2012, we landed the first Boeing 737-800 passenger aircraft at Gazipaşa Airport. This flight marked a milestone for Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport as it was the first medium-bodied aircraft to land there. Corendon also supported the efforts to open and operationalize Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport. Alanya is a key destination for our main source markets in the Netherlands and Belgium. Offering holiday concepts that cater to different profiles from families to young people enhances the region’s appeal.”

“For the 2024 season, we are offering more than 120,000 seats to Alanya” Highlighting that one-third of the tourists landing in the Antalya region travel to Alanya, Yıldıray Karaer stated: “By planning more direct flights from various markets, we continue to efficiently utilize Alanya’s potential and support the development of tourism in the region. We launched the first Alanya-Gazipaşa flight of the 2024 season on April 2nd from Amsterdam. In the 2024 season, we are providing over 120,000 seats to Alanya-Gazipaşa through both our airline’s direct flights and our tour operator’s package tour seat capacity.” Karaer added that they would continue to contribute to the region's tourism through both tour operator and airline operations. The meeting was attended by Alanya District Governor Fatih Ürkmezer, Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik, AKTOB President Kaan Kavaloğlu, Alanyaspor Club President Hasan Çavuşoğlu, General Manager of TAV Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport Oğuzhan Karatürk, and NGO executives supporting Alanya tourism.
