Sinop Central Fisheries Cooperatives Union Chairman Namık Ünlü told Anadolu Agency (AA) that the anchovy is being caught continuously in the Black Sea as well as in the Marmara Sea.

There has been an increase in the size of the anchovy, Ünlü said, "The anchovy in Sinop has reached the standard size. The fish could not be seen because it was thin but now the anchovy has grown in length." he expressed.
"While anchovy was sold for 50-60 liras last year, it costs 25 liras this year.Most of the fish is cheaper now. This is because the re is plenty of fish And everyone is happy with this situation. Everyone is satisfied".
In addition to that anchovy 40, horse mackerel 50, whiting 40, red kidney bean 80, and blue chives are sold for 100 liras per kilogram.
